Lea is a graduate of Clemson University where she majored in Biochemistry, and the Medical University of South Carolina where she completed her PA training in 2008. After graduating, she moved to Colorado and loves raising her four amazing kids in this wonderful place.
Lea has been a PA in pediatric primary care for a really long time, and her passion for pediatric care has grown and solidified over the years. She finds it an honor and a privilege to come alongside parents on their journey of raising kids, and becoming better humans themselves in the process. During her career she has been able to hone her style as a provider, and has accepted the fact that she will never be fast at seeing patients! Luckily she believes good patient care can't be rushed, and she appreciates being able to have longer visits where she can get to know families and truly be able to listen, teach, and collaborate with them.
Lea's special interests include education and support for breastfeeding, mental health, and parenting. She loves finding ways to expand her knowledge about ADHD, parent-child attachment, and the growing field of interpersonal neurobiology.
When she’s not at work, Lea loves to be outside, walking her dog or hiking with her kids. They like to play board games, do crafts together, and watch a lot of Bluey. They are all avid readers and Lea loves getting book recommendations from patients!
Lea is in the office on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.
